Counselling for Anxiety SE1 or Online

Welcome!

I offer a unique approach to healing and self-discovery that combines Psychosynthesis counseling and EFT (Emotional Freedom Techniques) to help you connect with yourself on every level mind, body, and spirit.

Online counselling or Face to Face SE1

With Psychosynthesis, we can create a solid foundation for personal growth, building healthy self-esteem, confidence, and self-acceptance. We also work towards practicing compassion for ourselves. Together, we cultivate a grounded sense of self and establish balanced boundaries – neither too rigid nor too loose. This foundation allows you to explore your inner world with curiosity. Instead of avoiding discomfort, we look at the root causes of anxiety, discovering when and where it started and why it surfaces. This approach builds resilience, empowering you to sit with thoughts and feelings, even when they are uncomfortable.

In combination with Psychosynthesis, EFT helps you gently release emotional blocks and process difficult feelings directly through the body. This helps to reinforce your ability to cope, heal, and grow.

I believe that with the right support, everyone can build a fulfilling, balanced, and resilient life. If you’re ready to begin this journey, I’d be honored to work with you.

How we can work with EFT

If you’re struggling with anxiety or panic attacks, it’s natural to want relief that feels within reach. A technique or tool rather than a pill, something you can use in the moment. EFT offers a simple, effective way to ease anxiety and calm the body and mind. Tapping combines gentle acupressure with a focus on acceptance and understanding. Something that makes you feel you are not only calming yourself but also giving yourself a break from your thoughts.

Soothing anxious thoughts

Anxiety can often feel like it takes over your whole body, the heart races and it’s hard to think clearly. EFT works by using gentle tapping on specific acupressure points on the body. This helps send signals to the brain that it’s safe to relax. This can be especially comforting in those moments when anxiety feels overwhelming. Over time, EFT helps your brain associate a sense of calm with situations that might usually bring fear. This gives you the chance to manage your anxiety without feeling like you’re just “pushing through” the panic.

Soothing uncomfortable feelings

The physical symptoms of anxiety can be frightening.  Some anxiety is natural in life but when we feel anxious over things where there is little threat or danger it can be problematic.  EFT taps into the body’s natural stress response, reducing cortisol, the main stress hormone, and activating the relaxation response. This can bring relief faster than mental exercises alone. For many, EFT feels like an effective way to bring their body back to calm, especially during moments when panic feels unmanageable. When anxiety feels physical, having a tool that soothes the body can be a true comfort.

Building a Sense of Control

One of the most empowering aspects of EFT is that it’s easy to learn and use on your own. Anxiety often feels like something we can’t control something that just happens to us. But with EFT, you gain a tool to help yourself in those difficult moments. Even if it’s just to bring down your anxiety a little. Having that sense of agency can make a world of difference, especially if you feel like you’re at the mercy of your anxiety. With EFT, you’re not helpless; you’re actively taking steps to care for yourself and create calm.

Acknowledging your Feelings and Accepting Yourself Anyway

EFT encourages kindness toward yourself, especially in moments when self-criticism or judgment might creep in. One of the key steps in EFT is repeating a phrase, or “setup statement,”. Example “Even though I feel anxious, I accept myself anyway.” This isn’t about denying the anxiety it’s about meeting it with acceptance and compassion. For those dealing with anxiety, this can be a powerful experience, letting you honour and acknowledge your feelings without feeling like you have to battle against yourself. This gentle self-acceptance can help shift negative beliefs and bring you closer to healing.

Building Resilience Over Time

EFT isn’t only useful in anxious moments; it can also build resilience with regular practice. People often find that consistent tapping helps them manage their overall stress more easily and face fewer moments of intense anxiety. Knowing you have a technique that brings calm when you need it helps you feel more grounded, and over time, you may find that your anxiety lessens in both frequency and intensity. EFT gives you a way to care for yourself consistently, which strengthens your ability to face life’s challenges with less fear and more peace.
